Supply Chain Partnership

We are fully committed to working in partnership with our supply chain.  At Miller Construction this partnering approach is engrained in our values, without which we would not be able to deliver the high levels of quality, service and innovation our customers demand.

Sub-contractors

We build, and believe in, long term relationships with our supply chain, the majority of which we have worked with for over five years.  While we are always interested in reviewing potential new subcontractors and material suppliers, the stability and strength of our existing supply chain means we do not simply add new subcontractors, there needs to be a valid business reason to do so.

When a new subcontractor need is identified, we consider our current supply chain and new subcontractors local to the area in which we are operating.  In order to facilitate this process we run local marketing campaigns and ‘meet the buyer’ events.

Our potential partners are carefully selected through a rigorous assessment which allows us to conduct a detailed review of their performance (financial, health & safety, environmental and commercial) and management styles.  Central to our selection process, is evidence of a team approach and the commitment to develop long-term collaborative relationships.

PPC

Partners who join our supply chain are required to comply with our policies and procedures (Responsible Sourcing of Contractors, Suppliers & Materials Policy).  Performance is also monitored on a monthly basis to ensure that any potential problems are recognised early and rectified, so there is no impact to either our customers, or disruption to the project.  In return, we provide feedback, advice and support to help our supply chain to improve their performance, and as a signatory of the Government’s Prompt Payment Code, we are committed to paying our supply chain partners on time.  By having mutually beneficial relationships we reinforce our ability to deliver our services more efficiently than our competitors.

Due to the significant volume of enquiries received, we are not able to respond to all personally, but all are reviewed, kept on file and where applicable, a member of the Supply Chain team will contact you directly to investigate potential opportunities.
