Miller Construction has picked up an award at the Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire (CCISY) Awards 2011.
In collaboration with Jefferson Sheard, Miller Construction built a new campus for Barnsley College which has been named ‘Project of The Year’. The annual CCISY awards celebrate high quality work by all parts of the region’s construction industry. The awards reflect the dynamic nature of the construction industry and highlight the broadest possible spectrum of construction excellence delivered by businesses working in South Yorkshire.
Ian Jubb, Regional Manager Director - North, Miller Construction, said: "We are delighted that the new Barnsley College has been recognised at this prestigious event. The college is an excellent example of partnership working between ourselves, Jefferson Sheard and Barnsley College."
The new £50 million nine storey landmark building marks a new era for the College providing specially designed study and social spaces and dedicated personalised learning zones that form in the heart of the campus.
