Miller Construction has secured a position on the IESE South East & London Construction Framework for Major Projects. IESE (Improvement and Efficiency South East) is a four year framework which anticipates delivering capital spends of £1.2bn - £4.5bn.
IESE is a unique local authority framework, led by Hampshire County Council, which can be accessed by local authorities across the South East and London. Currently over 30 local authorities use the framework which is open to all public service bodies within those local authority areas, including local government; the emergency services; universities; further education; schools; NHS; health service bodies and Primary Care Trusts.
Chris Webster, Chief Executive, Miller Construction, said: “We are delighted to have secured a position on the IESE framework which is being held up as a blueprint across the UK as how major contract frameworks can operate.
“Our appointment to IESE reiterates our commitment to our strategy to secure long-term partnerships which are mutually beneficial. We have a wealth of experience in the markets which are covered by the framework coupled with expert teams who are ready to deliver high quality projects.
“The framework has been developed along the principles of partnering advocated by Latham and Egan, principles that we adopted prior to the publishing of these reports, and still practise today. Working in partnership is a fundamental part of Miller Constructions ethos - allowing partnerships to grow, building on the intelligence developed, improving services and products and providing reliable estimates of cost and time. The results of this way of working include less waste and duplication while achieving a range of efficiencies and a culture driven by continuous improvement.
”The Miller Construction team has worked tirelessly to secure their position as one of the providers on the framework and we look forward to working with the local authority partners to deliver facilities to meet their needs and those of the communities they serve.”
Miller Construction is one of eight contactors appointed to the framework following the prequalification of 17. The former IESE framework was awarded in 2006 and comprised 10 principal contractors; the new framework consists of eight.
