This brand new Art Gallery and Public Square sits in the centre of Middlesbrough. Features include a striking full height glazed entrance hall, six formal exhibition spaces, two open galleries, an auditorium, a conservation studio and education suite, a roof terrace, café, bar and shop.
The building was honoured in the 2009 Hadrian Awards which celebrate the best in architecture and the design of the built environment in the North East and Cumbria.
Projects have to have been in use for at least a year to provide evidence of their effectiveness and feedback from their users.
