Graduate Bid Manager Started at Miller 2008
I recently graduated from Napier University with a 1st in quantity surveying. I was fortunate to benefit from working at Miller Construction as a Trainee Bid Manager while studying and I believe the experience I gained contributed to the results I achieved.
I work as part of a very successful bid team who encourage me to continue achieving, my next aim being to sit the RICS APC. Being actively involved in winning bids and securing jobs for the future workload of the Scottish region has given me invaluable experience to apply to the theory side of my studies.
The support I receive from colleagues and senior management is overwhelming and allows me to grow in confidence in both my professional and personal life.
I have also joined m'bark, Miller's Graduate Training Programme, which has further built my confidence and is assisting me in developing the skills I will require in my career.
Now that I have finished university I have started working on a full time basis while studying for my APC. Miller is a forward-thinking company with excellent support for its staff and, although I know I still have a lot to learn, this will be made possible as I progress my career with the company.
