This four storey building provides the Business School with over 4,000 sqm of new academic teaching and incubator space.  Externally, it incorporates a number of materials including brickwork, Ashlar stone, cedar cladding, Rhinzinc cladding and curtain walling.

Designed to achieve a BREEAM “Very Good” rating the building uses thermal mass via 400 mm thick precast floor planks to control temperature.  Grey water recycling was also incorporated and stone from the original boundary wall and cricket pavilion was cleaned and re-used.

“Throughout the project the Miller team worked tirelessly to ensure that our new building was handed over on time and to an excellent quality standard.  Your team’s effort and enthusiasm in driving the project through to completion was commendable to say the least and we are really pleased with the building that you have delivered for us.

“Although there were a number of hurdles to jump along the way, both Miller and your supply chain’s flexible and professional approach ensured any issues were concluded to our satisfaction.”

Steve Gilley, Deputy Director (Technical Services)
