This new 60 bed Travelodge Hotel stands on the grounds of the old Maypole Public House, a prominent landmark in south Birmingham.
Situated on the main route from Redditch to Birmingham, the hotel was developed in a relatively tight site in a busy built up area.
The main structure is a cost-efficient steel and timber frame with a mixed envelope of brickwork, render, metal cladding, curtain walling and structural glazing, and a single ply membrane roof.
