Developed and built by Miller Construction the facility is a joint project between Leeds City Council and Leeds Primary Care Trust to provide health, social care and a range of Council services in one building.
Miller Asset 24, delivers Hard FM and Lifecycle services and support to the entire facility and its users.
From our local office, Miller Asset 24 provide a comprehensive range of services including fabric, mechanical and electrical maintenance by way of Reactive and Planned visits.
All activities are managed and monitored by our 24/7 Customer Support service with the support of a dedicated management team.
Over two storeys the Joint Service Centre is a modern, multi-agency (predominantly public service organisations) facility where local residents can easily access a range of face-to-face services from across organisations which form part of a "chain of care", or are complementary ensuring that people experiencing disadvantage and/or having complex needs can receive services in an appropriate and timely manner.
Exisiting buildings on the site were incorporated into the new build, Compton Road Library and Harehills Children's Centre. The historic frontage of the Compton Road Library was preserved, and the new modern extension constructed around the Children's Cente to form a social care 'hub'. The Compton Centre includes a number of environmentally friendly features.
The Compton Centre offers the following facilities:
A Leeds City Council customer service team providing help with housing services, benefits advice, council tax, social care and environment issues, plus advice and information on Leeds City Credit Union products and services and East North East Homes Leeds housing services.
A new larger library with a wide range of new books, free internet access and learning sessions, plus regular activities and events.
Registrar Services - registrar surgeries will take place at the centre.
Employment training and advice from Jobshop.
Appointments with a Welfare Rights advisor for advice on all government benefits.
Surgeries by the Chinese Advisory Service.
