Following the successful completion of both the H.O.P’s in Chapel-en-le-Firth and Castle Gresley, we began work on this project which involved the construction of a combined Residential Home for older people and a Community Day Care Facility.

The new centre was designed to be the "blueprint" for similar developments across the county and is planned to offer wide choices of care and support.

The building opened in March 2010 and includes en-suite bedrooms for 32 residents and a drop-in day centre with physio, fitness and personal care facilities.  There are 16 long stay bedrooms, 8 intermediate care and 8 respite care rooms over two floors, together with administration and communal facilities.

The centre combines a range of services and community support for older people, such as a restaurant, activity/fitness room and additional day care and treatment facilities. The building also has extensive landscaped gardens to provide both leisure and activity areas for the use of both the residents and day care users.
