Rotherham College of Arts & Technology

This project, for Rotherham College of Arts & Technology involves the construction of a new main entrance building and refurbishment works to the Eastwood Building entrance and Clifton Building.
The new main entrance building is steel framed and comprises four storeys and will be linked at the rear of the college's existing Clifton Building. The feature entrance on the ground floor includes a glazed atrium which will house the reception and office spaces. The plant area is on the roof and this will be a green roof.
The Eastwood Building will undergo reconfiguration and refurbishment of the areas adjacent to the entrance including alterations to room layouts, small power, lighting, data and ceilings to suit the new design.
Associated landscape works were also carried out to improve the links between the new building, the Clifton Building and the Eastwood Buidling.
The new building will provide a new focal point entrance for the campus development, with classrooms and facilities fully equipped to meet modern standards, allowing the college to host open events, admissions and enrolments.
The upper floors will provide teaching accommodation with IT rooms predominantly situated on floor two and Higher Education classrooms and lecture rooms on floor three.
“I am thrilled to see the great progress that is being made in the construction of our new building and I speak for all students and staff when I say we are looking very much forward to its completion.”
