Located in Rainham Village, the development will bring the Primary School and the adjacent Children’s Services under one roof. We have been involved throughout all stages from design to construction.
The development involves the refurbishment of the existing primary school building, including the installation of a new heating system and electrics; two new classrooms and a new nursery building; a new reception entrance hub serving both the school and the Children’s Centre and the refurbishment of the existing Victorian building.
Works are progressing while the school remains in occupation. Organised phased handovers to suit term and half term dates, have been implemented. The main demolition works were carried out over the summer break to avoid disruption to school services.
The project requires close teamwork and co-operation with the school and Headmaster to ensure that the teaching environment is not unduly affected by the works.
The project started in September 2011 and is due for completion in August 2012.
