This refurbishment and redevelopment project of the Victorian Market Hall took place in a live environment and in liasion with all stakeholders prior to commencement and throughout the duration of the project. The laision with all stakeholders was a key factor in the success of the project which saw demolitions and structural alterations to the existing Market Hall to accomodate the revised requirements - provision of two level mall and retail units within the exisitng Market Hall linking to the exisiting Market Place.
In addition new back house facilities were provided with new public toilet facilities, an incoming services provision and lifts and escalators.
Extensive works were undertaken to the exisiting structure, including roof slates and clerestory glazing replacement and modification.
