This 12,000 sqm building for Geopost Ltd houses a state of the art distribution system, the largest of its kind in the UK.

After a competitive two stage Design & Build tender, our substantial value engineering enabled us to achieve the client’s original budget.

The scheme comprises the distribution building, a four storey office block with security and catering facilities, an MOT service and workshop facility, ancillary buildings and 100,000 sqm of external yards and access roads. Key features of the hub distribution building are an in situ concrete basement car park to 50% of the footprint, 200 externally housed dock levellers and four storeys of mezzanine floor, all within a complex steel frame.

Furthermore, the whole project was constructed on a complex brownfield site, bounded by canals and a railway line, with sequenced demolition and access.
