Two new schools were provided in the £33m Gainsborough Educational Village, largely funded by the County Council. As well as an 11-16 mainstream academy, the scheme offers a new 11-19 special school known as the Trent Valley Academy, the first entirely new secondary development in Lincolnshire for over 40 years.
The site has brought together pupils from four schools – the Castle Hills Community Arts College, the Middlefield School of Technology, the William Harrison Special School and the Beckett Special School.
