One of Leicester’s largest secondary schools, Crown Hills is undergoing a £21.2 m rebuild to ensure a richer environment for its 1,200 pupils.

Parts of the existing school have been previously described as Dilapidated and Dickensian and this new build will transform the school into a bright and inspiring leaning environment.

There will be minimal disruption for the students, as much of the construction will take place in fields between the two sites currently used. As the project progresses, mobile classrooms may be used to minimise disruption to pupil’s education. 

The English Cricket Board has also provided the school with a £120,000 grant in order to develop an indoor cricket facility.

This build is part of the second phase of Leicester City Council’s Building School’s for the Future programme to update and improve city secondary schools.
