North Leamington School was recognised by the Society of Chief Architects of Local Authorities for its high quality, depth of design and management skills. The £28 million design and build project, opened in 2009, includes a range of environmentally-friendly features and state-of-the-art facilities. The design reflects that of a university campus, with separate faculty buildings.

David Hazeldine, Headteacher, said: "Ever since the opening, I have been telling visitors that the new school is the best school building in the country and this award confirms my own judgement."
