This new 5 storey HQ for the Alliance Trust PLC provides 5,000 sqm of office space. Works also included external services, drainage and soft & hard landscaping.
The building is a steel framed structure of piled foundations with metal deck concrete composite upper floor slabs. The roofs and terraces comprise concrete structural slabs with Permatec bitumen asphalt waterproofing and decorative finishes.
External walls are a mix of zinc rainscreen cladding, render, curtain walling and windows, backed onto a lightweight structural framing system.
The building comprises flexible open plan and cellular office accommodation including a café area and a fifth floor boardroom/meeting suite with external terracing.
The building achieved a BREEAM "very good" rating for its sustainable features such as a rainwater harvesting system and low carbon emissions.
